Adi Hughes


Adi is a *fantastic* therapist. She’s helped me enormously through some extremely tough times, including navigating a

multitude of health problems, chronic pain problems, issues with losing trust in healthcare, toxic family dynamics and dealing with narcissism. She’s always gone over and above to help. I’ve been through some very difficult things and I know I would not have got through them with so much strength, awareness and faith in myself had I not had her help. She always makes me feel at ease and is both very kind and very intuitive. She knows me better than probably my closest friendsat this point and I can’t recommend her highly enough if you are looking for a professional and empathetic therapist. 


Adi has a gentle and approachable manner. She gave me the confidence to share my troubles. I felt validated and supported through the use of the different approaches we used to allow me to become my old self again, regaining my confidence and self esteem.


Adi has a very calm and personable approach, having never done any sort of therapy before I wasn't sure what to expect but I very quickly felt at ease. In different sessions we tried a variety of different things which I found really insightful and it helped me to understand myself much better. I never felt any judgement or pressure in our sessions and can honestly say at my lowest points and really difficult periods it was a lifeline for me. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services.


Adi Hughes was my therapist for several months in2023. I decided I needed some therapy to help me cope with a

very difficult family situation which had started in childhood and had recently become very upsetting due to changing family dynamics. I chose Adi as she immediately understood the problem and suggested approaches to therapy which might help. I was really nervous about going to the first session as I'd never had any therapy before. Adi immediately put me at my ease and I felt happy talking about things I'd never really spoken about before. After that first session I looked forward to going as I felt that we made such good progress each week. My difficult family situation rapidly became more manageable. Adi provided me solutions for coping and made me feel so much better about it all. The CBT techniques helped to reduce the negative feelings about myself that the events of my childhood had caused. We talked a lot about events from my childhood and how that was affecting my current situation. The work we did fundamentally changed how I saw the younger version of myself which helped me to cope with the situation in the present. As the difficult family situation evolved Adi continued to provide both therapeutic support and tools to cope with the family members. I would wholeheartedly recommend Adi as a therapist.


I found Adi to be very warm and welcoming. I felt at ease and comfortable from the very first session. Her gentle approach, enabled me to open up, in a safe and supportive environment, often seeing things from a different perspective, including myself.

I found my “personal tool kit”, that Adi carefully added to over the sessions, to be invaluable to my recovery.

The knowledge that I know Adi is there, as a safety net, should I need her in the future, has enabled me to go forward with my life in confidence.
